Mogiri Farm

Mogiri SFC farm was established in April 2007 by decision of the Board of Directors. It had originally been intended as a ‘distant field’ of the Romogi SFC farm. The distance was too far to try to manage from the Mogiri compound. As a result, it has been established as a separate farm, and will begin with 150 acres.

Land before clearing at Mogiri SFC FarmThis will be the second of the fifty new farms to be established before the year 2017.

Mr. Amos Lomoro Kenyi, our youngest farm manager, is an energetic and hands-on manager. Amos gained a great deal of experience working on both Logobero and Romogi farms. He will begin the development of the Mogiri Farm compound as of April 2007. It will have all the facilities of our usual farm compounds.

Light trees and brush cover the land at this time, but it will be cleared by a “Land Clearing Team” under his direction. The first funds have already been put into his hands to begin the work.

The soil there appears excellent for a variety of crops, with G-nuts as a primary crop.
