Managing
Director - Mr. Zamba Duku - Savannah Farmers Cooperative
At a meeting of the Board of Directors, The
Hon. Zamba Duku, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Central
Equatoria State in southern Sudan, and former General Manager
of The Savannah Farmers Cooperative (Company) (SFC), was invited
to become a member of the Board.
At
that same meeting in April, 2007, he was appointed to become
the Managing Director of the SFC. He will, on behalf of the
Board of Directors, implement all policies and decisions of
the Board. He will not be paid a salary, but his expenses
in connection with the SFC will be reimbursed.
His responsibilities will include the oversight
of the General Manager, (to be announced), as well as having
direct access to all accounting and records through the Account/Secretary,
Miss Fiona Onyinda.
Mr. Duku has proven himself to be a highly
respected member of the government of Southern Sudan, both
at the Federal and State levels. Within the Savannah Farmers
Cooperative, he acts in his private capacity, as a private
Sudanese citizen, as do all Board Members.
His leadership has proven to be impeccably
honest, forthright and he is of unimpeachable character. He
represents both Sudan and the Savannah Farmers Cooperative
with honour.
